Adolf Galland was one of the most charismatic and acclaimed Luftwaffe fighter pilots, Adolf Galland was the youngest Commander of Germany’s Luftwaffe (General der Jagdflieger. He was a commander of the world wide first operational Jet-fighter Unit "Jagdverband 44- JV 44“ equipped with the Messerschmitt 262. He flew the Me-262 into combat in the final days of the war. Adolf Galland survived and would finish the war with 104 credited air victories.
